Our story

CSC has been a festival in Rotterdam since 2014. Yes, you read that right – for over ten years. But our history goes back even further, to 2008, when people came together at our parties to dress sexy, dance crazy and be cool. It was a unique concept at the time - and rightly so, because it was an extremely cool party. Hence the name Crazy Sexy Cool (now CSC). That name has brought us so much for the past 16 years. Every time you heard Crazy Sexy Cool, you knew that an insane party was coming full of dancers, crazy attractions, nice people, cool activities and a killer line-up. These were the parties that everyone was talking about.

The Journey

In 2014, we outgrew the Maassilo in Rotterdam. We wanted to go bigger, grow further, and get everything out to create an amazing party. And that's what we did! Over the years, CSC has become a true notion in Rotterdam, and in 2019 we were voted the best Festival of Rotterdam and are now officially part of Rotterdam Heritage. Many Rotterdammers at the time knew what the festival was, and most of them partied hard with their friends at the festival.

Crazy Sexy Cool Halloween

The next challenge was Crazy Sexy Cool Halloween, a unique festival, again in the Zuiderpark, that just brought Halloween in a way you have never experienced before. A place where you could dress up and go wild, while enjoying the magic of Halloween and CSC together with your friends.

A new look for CSC in 2025

After CSC 2024, we opted for a rebranding: a new story and fresh energy, but with the same original mission — A place where people can celebrate the colourful diversity of the city together.

Together with our visitors, we redeveloped CSC and brought it back to its core, resulting in our renewed vision:

"To be the heartbeat of Rotterdam, where music, culture, and community unite to celebrate the city’s diversity and energy."

Connection. Creativity. Discovery.

With this vision as our map, we are working hard to create a festival that connects, inspires, and continues to surprise. Our new branding revolves around our three core values: connection, creativity, and discovery.

At CSC, everything is about coming together: people from all backgrounds meet here to celebrate music, art, and culture. The festival transcends borders – between Rotterdam North and South, but also between cities. Here, it is not about "you and me", but about "we": a close-knit community united by a shared passion.

Discovery is essential. CSC is more than a music festival; it is an adventure. From hidden spaces to unexpected performances – the festival invites you to try new things, discover yourself and grow. We are coming back - bigger than ever before.

Crazy Sexy Cool will become CSC Festival. A new name. Same values. It will remain a place where we come together, be creative, listen to the best (new) music and build a close community.
